Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is already thinking about the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, and said that the great 5-0 victory over Alaves – yesterday, Tuesday – in the Spanish League was a strong experience before the European final at Wembley Stadium.

Ancelotti believes that his team, which has already won the Spanish League title for the 36th time and reached the Champions League final after defeating Bayern Munich, is at its best.

The Italian coach said, “These matches are important to maintain rhythm, motivation and good play.” Two weeks left. Now, we will rest for a few days, then do some physical training next week.”

He added in a press conference, “During the second week, we will focus on the tactical aspects.” For me – as a coach – I consider it the best season. The team was great, and we deservedly won the league title. We cannot be happy, but we have to continue preparing, because we have not played the most important match yet.”

Real, who have not lost in all competitions since last January, have 93 points from 36 matches in the Spanish League, which Ancelotti attributed to the young talents in the team.

He explained, “This team is full of talent. The young players are of high quality. This team has an opportunity to continue writing history in the future, given the value of the young players currently present.”

The coach also spoke about the future of German midfielder Toni Kroos, who returned to his country’s national team after retiring from international football for 3 years, and his contract with Real Madrid will expire at the end of the season.

“We are not concerned at the moment about Kroos’s future, neither I nor the club nor Toni,” Ancelotti said. Until June 1, this is a secondary issue. “We are now thinking about winning the Champions League.”

He added, wondering about awarding the “Golden Ball to Kroos?” Anything can happen if he wins the Champions League and the European Championship. I think he can achieve the double. Germany can win with Kroos.”
