Spanish press reports stated that Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is planning to strengthen his team to continue fighting for the English Premier League.

The newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo” indicated that the Spanish Arteta wants to renew the team starting next season, as he seeks to continue the struggle for the English Premier League and the Champions League.

It is noteworthy that Arsenal has improved greatly in recent seasons under Arteta’s leadership, and has become competing for the English Premier League title alongside Manchester City in the last two seasons.

The Spanish newspaper added, “Although Manchester City once again appears to be the most likely candidate, every time the distance separating it from Arsenal seems smaller, and Arteta does not want to retreat from this level.”

The Spanish coach wants to make fundamental changes to the team to improve it and include high-level players, to be more capable of defeating the competition, and not to resell them to make money.

The following is a list of players leaving Arsenal next summer, according to the newspaper:

  • Englishman Aaron Ramsdale (25 years old), goalkeeper.
  • English Eddie Nikita (24 years old), striker.
  • Englishman Smith Rowe (23 years old), midfielder.
