Basal added, “We are facing difficulty in reaching the homes that the army targeted due to the heavy shooting at us.”

He pointed out that “the Israeli army has arrived in the center of Jabalia camp near the market, and the battles are raging.”

Violent fighting also resumed in early May in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

According to Israeli military sources reported by the media, the number of Hamas fighters in the Gaza Strip before the war that began on October 7 was approximately 30,000, distributed among 24 battalions.
